These washers are specially designed for use with socket head cap screws and where there are space limitations. The smaller outer diameter accommodates confined areas, while the increased thickness sustains the washers overall locking effectiveness. Plain finish, or bare metal, may or may not have a coating of light oil to resist corrosion.
